Whisper Hearing Amplifier

Whisper Hearing Amplifier Review

Whisper Hearing Amplifier Feature

  • BTE hearing amplifier for wearing behind-the-ear
  • Listening to soft sounds and voices loud and clear
  • For greater independence and security
  • Watching TV with volume on low
  • No acoustic feedback
Whisper Hearing Amplifier is small made of plastic, very light in weight consists of a device case, an audio wire encapsulated in flex rubber tubing coming down the front into the ear-piece. The device case contains an electronic sound amplification system to amplify sounds and voices, the amplified sounds and voices are routed electronically from the amplification system via the audio wire in the tubing to the ear-piece where a speaker (receiver) is installed. Since the speaker (receiver) is located in the ear-piece, rather than in the device case, this remote-receiver-design ensures a comfortable fit and eliminates feedbacks (high pitch noise) caused from the amplification electronics in the device case from travelling into the ear. Due to the electrical components being located outside the ear, the chance of moisture and earwax damaging the components is reduced, this increases the durability of the Whisper Hearing Amplifier and with proper care the device can last longer than expected.

The Whisper Hearing Amplifier is an assistive device helps improving listening to soft sounds and voices in the distance, or watching TV with volume on low to avoid disturbing others at home. The device may work as an integral part of an external listening device, such as FM systems. An important aspect of the Whisper Hearing Amplifier is that design of the ear-piece is separated from the device case which makes it easier to replace different size of ear-tips; more importantly, less visible than the in-the-ear hearing amplifiers.

Each Whisper Hearing Amplifier comes with three latex rubber ear-tips and two LR-44 Alkaline button cell batteries. The device is listed under FDA Class 1 Medical Devices General Controls for safety and efficacy in use.
